HISTORY OF LAMCALIAF

Short History of Barangay Lamcaliaf
In 1941, Lamcaliaf was a sitio of Barangay. Palkan known as sitio repolyo. This sitio was headed by Mr. Mauricio Ulang, who was appointed as the 1st Barrio Lieutenant. This mark the beginning of barangay Lamcaliaf.

In 1959, sitio repolyo and sitio kinilis composed the barangay lamcaliaf. On the same year election tooks place in which elias busgano become the first barrio lieutenant. Under his leadership, sitio repolyo wa separated bears the name of barangay lamcaliaf. A native term of bla’an which means a valley tree. In 1996, barrio officials of this barangay. Were abolished due to 10% share of barangay palkan. Two years after lamcaliaf barrio officials were restored.

In 1968, there was a change in barangay administration, Mr. Roberto Cadorna, Sr., took his place as a headed of his barangay he donated a portion of his land where the barangay hall was situated. On that the same site he build a basketball court for the people of barangay lamcaliaf Barangay Captain Roberto Cadorna Sr., stayed his public services until 1980. After 12 years he was deflated by Mr. Ireneo Acido 1980, when Barangay Captain acido shows his ability on handling Barangay Dellima and as a head of his barangay in his term/administration he was then able this barangay to avail the electrification program of the socoteco II, the kyumang spring japing line, the artesian well situated at lower lamcaliaf which is develop into submersible water pump.

Barangay Lamcaliaf is one of the 23 barangays of the Municipality of Polomolok. It is 6.50 kilometers away from the Poblacion with a total land area of 1,284 Hectares. It is bounded on the North by Kinilis, on the South by Sulit, on the West by Palkan and on the East Cannery Site.
Barangay Lamcaliaf is accessible to all kinds of land transportation such as Taxis, PUJ, Tricycle and Skylabs. The barangay has Seven (7) puroks.

Ang brgy. Lamcaliaf usa ka gamay nga parti sa goberno nga maabtikong mosuporta ug magpakabana nga pomoloyo nga may kahadlok sa Diyos ug may matinud-anong opisyales nga mag-alagad pinaagi sa paghatag dugang pagpalambo sa panginabuhian ug pagduyog sa hustong pamaagi nga technolohiya ug pag-amping, protekta, preserva sa kinaiyahan aron makab-ot ang maayo nga kalidad nga kinabuhi.

Vision

VISION
Ang katawhan sa brgy. Lamcaliaf aduna nay cooperation, dicipline, mahigugmaon, taas nga edukasyon, mahadlokon sa dios og may sensiro, matinud-anon ug may dedikasyon nga mga brgy. Officials nga moampingon sa kinaiyahan nga moresulta sa malambo-ong pangabuhi-an.
